book upon book

Right now, I'm in a book-review-writing mood. This week, I hope to write reviews for four series of books and post them up here throughout this month. The series to be reviewed are:

The Little House Series (hidden gems in these books! they are NOT for little kids only :P)

The Viking Quest Series (they don't receive the recognition they deserve. keep an eye out for these reviews :D)

The Anne of Green Gables Series (classics that have been reviewed by countless folks, but my opinions have yet to be stated)

The Mitford Years (saving the best for last!)

Now I have to start writing :)

  1. Some of my favorite series are The Anne of Green Gables one and the Viking Quest series. Those and Little Women I think I could say are my favorite series....

  2. Oh, I can't wait, Jo! You will definitely do justice to the Little House books and the Anne books. And as for the other books, I've never read them, so I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

    In Christ,
    Elizabeth Rose

  3. Hello Jo!

For starters, let me just say, I have received comments before advertising this giveaway or that blog party... and it can be extremely irritating. So, you have every right to ignore this comment. *wink* But, I would like to politely inform you that Jo March over at Scraps From My Workbasket is doing a TON of giveaways, blog parties, etc., starting October 1st, on her blog. And, if you are interested (and if you follow her before October 1st!) you will get an extra entry into all the contests and giveaways that are going on. So please check it out! Here is the link: http://scrapsfrommyworkbasket.blogspot.com/2010/09/let-party-begin.html. And if you decide to look into it, please let her know that Elizabeth Rose from Living on Literary Lane sent you. Thank you so much!

    Elizabeth Rose

P.S. Sorry, just had to do this for "grins and giggles." :)

  4. You're a ham Lizzy :P I totally agree about the "ad" comments being irritating.....that's why I was hesitant to ask y'all do them. But I love your *very* polite "sample" comment :P Keep it up my dear! Love ya :)

  5. I can't wait to read all of them (and see if the Anne books is a series I should try to read again).

  6. Looking forward to the Mitford review...which reminds me I need to reply to your email so we can "chat" about Mitford:)
