A Song of Thanksgiving #24

I am thankful today because...

Americans took advantage of their rights and therefore the USA saw the biggest turnover of seats in the House for over one hundred years (the GOP has the majority, so bye bye Nancy Pelosi) and things are starting to look hopeful for the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave!

God is moving in this country in a big way, and I'm so glad that I get to be a part of it!
Watch out, Obama, I'll be voting in 2012!!!

p.s. I'm doing an "I Am Thankful" post everyday until Thanksgiving starting today

  4. No way! Just last night I was thinking how unfair it is that both you and KK get to help vote Obama out (if he runs again in 2012) but I won't be old enough *humph*. Vote extra for me, will ya?;) I'll just be kicking-(well, I won't type the word I'm thinking) on his opponents campaign:D

Isn't it so exciting that so many people voted? That just makes my little patriotic heart beat (beating red white and blue, of course) beat even faster! Especially after we made *so* many calls reminding people to vote it kinda makes you feel good, ya know?

Btw, our state senate results aren't in YET!!! It's so close that they have to count all the votes before they can declare a winner...I'm getting impatient!!! It could take up to a week and I do *not* have enough patience for that! (I did hear that Hurt made it in your county...I'm not surprised as many of his signs we saw while we were down there. What's weird is that democratic MD (especially Frederick)has so much red this year.

Are you excited as I am about so many seats being turned over to their rightful place (aka to republicans)?

Okay, enough rambling. Can you tell I've been watching kids for 48hrs straight? I start to babble a little:)Only 24 more hours...

    Love ya!
Nan (who is going to go plop down in front of a mindless TV show and then go to bed early:)

  11. I faintly recall you saying to us at the breakfast table, "My favorite color is usually blue but today it is red, because of the Republicans.
